Cláudio Solferini (Brazil)

Solferini is a Brazilian self-taught painter, sculptor and draftsman, who was born in January, 9th, 1985, in Ribeirão Pires, a countryside town in the São Paulo State. From very young age, he has showed extraordinary aptitude for arts. Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism, he has created projects for some of the most renewed offices in São Paulo City and has had his work as an artist featured in important decor and design exhibitions throughout the country.

Since then, his work has been recognized by renewed Architects and Art Collectors. About his paintings, pastel chalk on paper and oil on canvas , he has started with the observational drawing exercises and academic pieces, evolving later to an impressionist technic and, over the course of time, he has given up on real representation and portrays to dedicate himself to the geometric abstractions, in which he uses transparencies and overlays for a remarkable luminosity in his art.
