About the Artist – Chris Reichenbaum

Chris is an East Coast girl born and raised on Long Island, New York. She attended Fort Lauderdale University and graduated with a BBA in Marketing. She currently divides her time between Greenwich, CT and Miami Beach, FL where she maintains a full time art studio.

She enjoyed a successful 20-year real estate career, specializing in building conversions and foreclosures in NYC and Miami, FL. Her company, Chris Miles Inc., was responsible for creating the brochures, designing the model apartments and the onsite sales of each building. Always an artist at heart, she enrolled in various drawing and painting classes and discovered her passion for Abstract Expressionism.

Chris is a self taught artist, who paints in shapes and vivid single colors. Her paintings are about being very present, getting lost in time, thinking a thought and following it to the end.

A spontaneous artist she uses textural finishes and will incorporate burlap, gauze, metals or netting in her various mixed media pieces. She also loves working with pastels, charcoals and acrylics.
